The inmates also have the PRIVILEGE of commissary items which can be purchased during the week. Monies spent will be deducted from the individual's commissary account. Commissary money left for an inmate must be cash (no coins) or a money order.
Any monies placed on an inmates account will be returned to the inmate when he/she is discharged from the Polk County Jail. Checks will be cut and mailed each Monday. It is the inmates responsibility to ensure that the jail has a valid mailing address to mail the check to.
